I am a writer, journalist, and editor. I tend to focus on environmental policy, conservation, and ecology in my non-fiction writing, though in past positions I have written on ethics, corruption, and American and international politics. My articles and analyses have appeared in CNN, Slate, Lawfare, Just Security, Northern Woodlands Magazine, various Brookings media, and other publications. I am the co-author of a chapter on executive authority and congressional oversight in the 2022 Brookings Institution Press book How to Restore Ethics, the Rule of Law, and Democracy. My work has been cited in scholarly publications and by news organizations including CNN, Axios, The Christian Science Monitor, Pluribus News, and more.

My short fiction has been published in Inscape Magazine, Inlandia Literary Journal, Ginosko Literary Journal, Action, Spectacle, and elsewhere.
